LIGHTYEARS (02/12/2024) back Resonating in my bones, where memories wrote themselves Into tree rings deepened and saturated by blood-rich pigment. The air was cold and humid for a moment, While the sun began to shine its defiance Through cracks in dark, blurry mind-nebulae, Marbled black rolling tides that descended upon my sky. There's a movement in stillness, in the silence of the speed of light, Venting heat and light through my mouth and eyes, Solar breath lifted the fog from my vision After lightyears of choking on winter haze, And quietly, it assured me, "I'll be there for tomorrow". |
