WISH I WAS THERE (CLIPPED WINGS) (24/11/2024) back Let me run my fingers across those cascading stellar beams, Aquarian angel, I want you to pull me out of this gravitational sinkhole, I want you to breathe your life into me and take me to your dreams. Just once, I want to be as weightless as you are, I want to feel your Dao movement pushing and pulling me through, Spirited traveler in pursuit of your own Neptunian visions, I feel the breeze of your flight rushing past, leaving me without you. Every word that leaves you is stardust In silvery trails that curl around me and make my hair stand on end, And my aching, gnarled claws swipe and grab angrily, trying to catch them, It vanishes between my fingers; you promise rainbows around the bend. I have a hundred thousand traumas to write about, One each day for the rest of my life, I didn't have a choice, And you wax poetic about the ocean, nebulae, flower petals, twinkling lights, If only I could save me from myself and sing with your voice. |
